Turfwise launches new online turf management system
We have stated for some time that turf management is becoming increasingly business-oriented, with greater pressure on accountability for time and resource use.
At the same time, we face increasing expectations for either standards or workloads of turf surfaces, with the result being greater pressure on Course Superintendents and Turf Managers to justify decisions are based on the best possible information.
In short, we have been saying to manage you have to measure…but we have been reliant on a variety of time consuming spreadsheets and accounting programs to record this data. Not any more.
Turfwise is excited to announce the launch of Turfkeeper, one of the world’s leading online turf management tools that provides complete oversight into staff management, turf maintenance practices, machinery use, chemical applications and department budgeting.
In a partnership with Jeff Blunden (GBAS), I am excited to be bringing to the turf industry in Australia, New Zealand and Asia technology that reflects the asset value of turf surfaces whether they be within a golf course, sports stadium, local government, or school setting. With a common interest and appreciation of data capture and insight-driven decision making, we view Turfkeeper as the missing link in turf facility management software.
We also live and work in an era of governance scrutiny, so the up to the minute information available from Turfkeeper provides comfort for Management, Boards and Directors.
Launched at The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney on October 8, Jeff and I outlined the benefits of Turfkeeper to a number of senior facility and turf managers, with an emphasis on the ability of the system to greatly improve the efficiency of record keeping while producing powerful data analysis and reporting in the process.
With Turfkeeper, all actions are captured and importantly talk to one another. Employee time is no longer only reflected in a time sheet but also attaches to a task, which adds to machine hours, decrements stock levels, feeds the budget and allows for much more thorough, automated reporting. Complete oversight is now possible.
